Normally you need to wait until theres an instant or sorcery on the stack, target it with a copy effect like Reverberate, and then target that spell with another copy effect but now a scheme can fill in for the second copy spell
In Modern and Legacy, there are plenty of Legendary spells that are super important to the gameplans of lots of different decks
It comes down for only 2 mana and combines a Zulaport Cutthroat creature death effect with the Marionette Master artifact death trigger, which makes it like a duplicate Mayhem Devil or an alternative for decks that dont run red
(6/6/2025) If one of the creatures is an illegal target and the other one isn't as The Earth Crystal's last ability tries to resolve, the original distribution of counters applies and the counter that would have been put on the illegal target is lost
Still, as long as you have some life to spare, you can crank up the number of flips each turn, sometimes taking some damage, sometimes getting a nice card draw payout
